daff's

even though spring only officially started last week, we've had more than a few signs of its impending return for quite some time. case in point: the daffodil.

an arm of the narcissus family, daffodils are a spring bulb whose loveliness has been somewhat tarnished by too many appearances in the "clearance bulb" section of your local big-box garden store.

but the ones popping up in austin are far from banal, with varieties ranging from blushy peach to pale verdant.
they also happen to work perfectly for gender-neutral baby shower arrangements.

having what feels like the first real calm moment post-sxsw, drinking a glass of gas station wine along with some slammin' leftovers. i don't really want to join the chorus of austinites saying "OH GOD SXSWAAAH", but i will say that a quiet night of wine with friends at my house last night was pretty much the perfect ending.

it also doesn't hurt that ann lowe, of anystyle catering, brought over an insane spread of amazing food. seriously, any of you austin brides looking for a caterer look no further:

i know, right?
way cuter than cupcakes.

the week in deliveries

east side showroom

really happy to add east side showroom to loretta's roster of clients.
seriously, if you've never had their steampunk-inspired fine dining, run to east sixth and grab yourself a vintage cocktail.

team loretta

a wedding in the middle of the week is a change of pace around these parts and i feel so fortunate to have had an amazing duo of assistants helping me out last week.

behold, team loretta:
